This was a wide project involving naming the company, brand identity, icons, documents and team clothing designs.
The name Spectre was a moment of inspiration on my part. The word suited the feel the owners wanted from the brand – sleek, cool feel with an air of mystery – and the connotations of being ghosts, in the background, making clients web products work, made the name perfect for the brand.
I used Courier New to give the feel of a top secret document written out on a typewriter. The codebreaker animation was a fun addition.
At the time Spectre were a values led business delivering a range or services. They needed a way to explain those values and services without reams of text or boring clichés.
The icons became a key to show what services had been enlisted to deliver a project. They appeared on the website, in sales brochures and in proposals, a little part of the brand language showing viewers how things work in Spectre’s brand world.
